Our accommodation consists of 4 historic self-catering cottages built in the 1920s. All four of the cottages are still on their original foundations.

Cottage 1
This cottage has two spacious bedrooms, a fully equipped and spacious kitchen with braai-facilities inside the kitchen and a living room with a TV. This can also by conformed to one unit for 10 people when unlocking the door between cottage 1 & 2.

Cottage 3
his unique cottage has a spacious bedroom with a queen-size bed, a modern bathroom with a bath and a shower, a fully equipped kitchen, a living room with a fireplace inside.
Cottage 4
This unique air-conditioned cottage has a spacious open-plan design and is furnished with a queen-size bed as well as 2 armchairs in the sleeping area. Arrangements can be made to accommodate 4 people.

What you get
We provide soaps and toiletries in each bathroom as well as towels and bed-linen for each guest.
PLEASE NOTE:
We have 1 Antilop highchair and 1 baby cot, which will be available by request and depending on availability.

On arrival, the guests get freshly baked bread, rusks, butter, jam, milk, coffee, tea, and sugar.
Firewood is available for purchase at the farm, or you’re welcome to bring your own.
Facilities
The cottages are wheelchair/disabled friendly, family-friendly and we offer off-street and secure parking on the farm.
Swimming facilities are also available in the Summer season

Vleidam offers agricultural tours and Nikki also shows the kids how to feed the little lambs and the children can collect the chicken’s eggs in the morning.

Nikki was an amazing host! From the freshly baked bread, the homemade jam, or the special touches for our 10 week old son. We were told to relax, not to worry about a thing and enjoy the farm life. That we did! It was quiet, except for the lovely sounds coming from the geese, the sheep…and we were spoiled to see very young lambs on the farm on our way out. There is a hiking trip on the farm which leads you to nice scenic heights (well elevated). Moorreesburg is close if you want a quick outing, and Darling is around the corner (which we did on our way back to Stellenbosch). If you have kids, they will love this place…animals everywhere… if you are adults… nothing beats the fire reaching up into a well lit night sky. For winter, if it gets cold…there is a fireplace in the kitchen… Take the weekend… break away from the busy city life and enjoy seclusion. We will be back for winter… take our friends…have red wine, and potjies. Recommended!!!
